Traditional Postpartum Care
The role of a postpartum doula is to support the mother in the first few weeks following the birth of her baby.
Hi, I’m Narelle.
I am a mother to 3 beautiful children
and a traditional postpartum care doula and birth educator, providing a high level of in-home support for mothers after childbirth, throughout the first forty days.
Ayurvedically trained and an *Innate Traditions certified care provider, I draw on traditional wisdom and modalities to support a mothers healing after childbirth, ensuring she can heal to her fullest potential, feel amazing in her body and thrive in her new role as a mother.
The postpartum doula supports the mother physically and emotionally, guiding and caring for the new mother in a way that will allow the conditions for her tremendous healing work to take place.
The foundation of all traditional postpartum care includes an extended resting time, a very specific diet, and bodywork.
As your doula, I lay my focus on all of these things.
I will ensure your physical needs and comforts are taken care of and that you are nourished properly, so that you can truly get the rest you require for the immense task that lays ahead.
I offer a deep level of care, that is mother-centered and rooted in traditional wisdom. I will care for your physiologic needs, while also tracking and nurturing your emotional and spiritual transition.
The birth of a mother can be far more intense than childbirth. As your doula, my aim is to take care of the entire spectrum, as you make your profound transition into your new role, leaving you nothing to do but rest, and fall in love with your newborn baby.
“Narelle was the perfect guide, I cannot thank her enough for shepherding me through that sacred time and pouring such love over my body and soul.”
